New Irish Biomass Growers Association to Defend Growers Interests and Press for Immediate REFIT Implementation
The Irish Biomass Growers Association (IBGA) was formed at a special industry and growers meeting on 30th September. It was felt that there was a need for all of us in the biomass industry to come together and raise the issue of the new REFIT Tariff and other issues nationally as one strong voice representing all growers of biomass energy crops. JHM Crops, who have consistently campaigned on REFIT and growers issues, is well represented, with Joe Hogan (Managing Director JHM) being selected as Chairman of IBGA. JHM Crops looks forward to working closely with IBGA, as we seek to get the new REFIT Tariff implemented immediately, for the benefit of all growers in the country. IBGA will meet on a regular basis and have significant influence in the sector as all sides are represented. JHM as market leader in Miscanthus is in an ideal position to assist IBGA in its work in any way it can and looks forward to doing so into the future.
